Send-off by Embassy and return to Malabo of PDGE General Secretary

After attending the Senior Level Meeting of World Political Parties in Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China, the PDGE General Secretary, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, bid farewell to the Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador, German Ekua Sima Abaga, and to embassy officials, before his return.

For two days, Osa Osa took part in the Senior Level Meeting of World Political Parties in Beijing, organised by the Communist Party of China (CPC) to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity and the creation of a better world.

The meeting was opened by the President of China, H. E. Xi Jinping, recently re-elected as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), who said that the CPC is prepared to work with other political parties throughout the world in order to share a better future for humanity, I am delighted to see that the friendly cooperation between China and other countries is increasingly expanding, and the concept of a community with a shared future is gaining support and backing from more and more people”.

The Belt and Road Initiative was also referred to, which is a huge cooperation platform allowing interested countries to carry out common development, with the aim of starting to construct trade and infrastructure networks connecting Asia with Europe and Africa via land and sea routes.

The PDGE General Secretary, for his part, was one of the delegates who had the opportunity to express in his own words the work carried out continually by the CPC, and with the People’s Republic of China in general, and the excellent relations which unite the two countries.

With his participation in the meeting over, Osa Osa Ecoro once again met the Ambassador to China, German Ekua Sima, before setting out bound for Malabo.
