The Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Salomon Nguema Owono, has praised the initiative from the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, led by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, whose implementation is based on the excellent international relations of friendship and cooperation, which have permitted the inclusion, among other infrastructures, of a fully equipped modern hospital.
I feel happy and satisfied to be able to speak at this opening ceremony for the 76-bed fully equipped modern hospital, within the selection of benchmark hospitals in the country. This work comes within the framework of the huge political commitment of the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, led with dignity by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, through his vision of health for all regarding Horizonte 2020, whose successful implementation is based on the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation enjoyed by the Government of our country”.
These health infrastructures fit like hand in glove within the ambitious action plan, set up by the Ministry for Health and Social Welfare, which I have to honour of leading, and following the wise advice of H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in order to improve health cover for health indicators, and improve the quality of life for the population”, continued the minister.
He also made a call to Equatoguinean health professionals, so that they all contribute to the normal operation and maintenance of this emblematic hospital infrastructure, which strengthens the desire of our Government to provide access for the population to the health service.
Before concluding his speech, he declared his gratitude to the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, firstly for the peace reigning on our soil, and for the development that today is taking place in our country in all sectors, particularly in the health sector. Furthermore, he thanked the First Lady, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, for her constant, incessant support and development of the health sector, being the architect for the construction of one of the benchmark hospitals in the country, together with the old and new Psychiatric Centres in Sampaka, being always in favour of Equatoguinean health.
During the conclusion of the speech, he gave a special mention to the Spanish Government, and particularly the company Maguiber, who made possible the construction of this modern hospital in accordance with today’s demands.
