Thanksgiving mass in Malabo to mark 40th Anniversary of Freedom Coup

On the morning of 3rd August, Malabo Cathedral was the setting for the holding of a thanksgiving mass for the 40th Anniversary of the Freedom Coup, which was attended by the Minister for Defence and National Security, Nicolas Obama Nchama.

The Eucharistic celebration was attended by the military, members of security, civil authorities, members of the Government, and structures making up the PDGE.

The celebrant began the mass with words of welcome for all those present, and continues with readings and the corresponding Gospel, followed by the homily, which was aimed particularly and the military corps, as it was a special day for them. They were congratulated and the role they play in society was remembered.

Finally, the thanksgiving mass concluded with a group photo of all those present in the esplanade of Malabo Cathedral.
