Thanksgiving mass to mark 36th Anniversary of Akonibe Magna Carta

On Wednesday 15th August, members of Parliament and the Constitutional Court attended a thanksgiving mass to mark the celebration of the 36th Anniversary of Equatorial Guinea Basic Law, known as the Akonibe Magna Carta.

The thanksgiving mass, which was said by the reverend Cristino Ela, was one of the activities planned by Parliament as part of the festivities.

The Eucharistic mass also provided an opportunity for members of the upper and lower Chambers of Parliament to remember their colleagues who passed on, both during and prior to the current legislature.
