Rufino Ndong Esono Nchama, Deputy General Section Commissioner of Equatorial Guinea at the exhibition, met with officials of the National Ceiba Ballet to review the details of their participation in Milan (Italy).
Within three months, the World Expo 2015 will be held in Milan; and for this reason they are finalizing the details of Equatorial Guinea’s participation in it.
The Ceiba Ballet, along with the choreographer and dancer Gorsy Edu, will perform an exhibition of Equatorial Guinean dance. Therefore, the Deputy General Section Commissioner of Equatorial Guinea at the exhibition, Rufino Ndong Esono, assisted by the Director of the Pavilion, Jeronimo Nsue Asumu, met with Edu and the director of said ballet, Salvador Asama. They reviewed the details to be arranged for the success of the performance.
Among the topics discussed, was the creation of a choreography involving all ethnic groups in the country, and the selection of the artists participating in this show.
Ndong Esono stressed the importance of this show which is attended by over one hundred countries around the world, recalling that each will have a special day during it: “The National Day of each country in the show is very important, since each nation has performances to represent the sociocultural and economic image of their homeland. We have had your collaboration to develop an exquisite piece, to perform before the public, both inside and outside Italy.”
Gorsy Edu is one of the Equatorial Guinean international artists, and has worked in the cultural events of the CAN 2015, among others; while the Ceiba Ballet is considered the epitome of traditional dance of Equatorial Guinea.
