The Minister of Youth and Sports, Andres Jorge Mbomio Nsem Abu, elected as president of the Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), traveled on May 25 from Malabo to Zurich to attend the proceedings of the 65th FIFA Congress.
Zurich will host from May 28 to 29, the 65th World Congress of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA). Andres Jorge Mbomio Nsem Abu travelled to the Swiss capital on May 26 to attend the Congress for the first time as president of the FEGUIFUT.
On the conference agenda, the most awaited topic are the elections for the presidency of FIFA, which will take place on Friday, May 29. The current president, Joseph Blatter, has as a rival in the the Vice President of the Asian Confederation, Ali Bin Al Hussein, Prince of Jordan.
Before the conference, the delegation of the FEGUIFUT will attend the second World Conference of Sports Medicine. It plans to hold meetings with the Secretary General of FIFA, Jerome Valcke, to further advance the technical assistance that the federation provides its new leaders, elected last December 28.
The President of the FEGUIFUT will accompany the second and third vice-presidents for Economic Affairs and International Relations, Bienvenido Ateba Mangue and Venancio Thomas Nguema and as President of Sports Medicine, Patricio Bakale Mba.
