The Minister of Foreign Affairs receives his Chinese counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, was received at the Bata International Airport on Wednesday, January 14, by Agapito Mba Mokuy.

The Asian diplomat was received by a court of honor headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea, Agapito Mba Mokuy, and which was made up of the Delegate Minister, Pedro Ela Nguema Buna, and the Secretary General.

After their arrival, the Chinese delegation travelled to the official headquarters of Foreign Affairs in Bata. In the event that took place there Minister Mba Mokuy spoke to ask his counterpart to transmit to the Government of the People’s Republic of China the strong commitment of Equatorial executive to continue supporting the bilateral cooperation.

Meanwhile, Wang Yi recalled the assistance provided by Equatorial Guinea at several times that his country had been affected by natural disasters.

The meeting ended with a press conference between the two ministers of foreign affairs.
