On Tuesday, February 24, the first meeting of the delegates and advisers of the various groups and women’s associations of Malabo took place, to address issues related to the activities of March 8, International Women’s Day.
The meeting was held in the meeting room of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Gender Equality, and was chaired by the District Delegate of Malabo, Emerenciana Nko Ivasa.
The delegate informed those present on some of the activities foreseen for March 8: football, an exhibition, lectures and talks. He also discussed some details to be improved that were observed in last year’s commemoration, and finally, she asked for the cooperation and participation in all the activities.
In this regard, Nko Ivasa advised that each group and association celebrate this festivity in community in its respective places of concentration, rather than separately.
The meeting ended with the invitation for the attendees to select the schedule of events at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
