The President Travels to Cape Verde to Attend 12th CPLP Summit

An important delegation headed by the President of the Republic, S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, left during the morning of 17th July on a business trip destined for Cape Verde, in order to attend the 12th CPLP Summit.

National Security and Defence Ministers, in addition to some Head of State counsellors bid S. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo farewell at the presidential terminal of Malabo International Airport.

Cape Verde is the venue for the 12th Summit of Presidents and Heads of State in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) over 17th and 18th this month.

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea, which is a full legal member in the community, is participating with the senior presence of the nation’s Head of State. The coordination and preliminary work for this summit already started days before through the execution of technical committees.

The Equatorial Guinean delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, in addition to the Ambassador in the presence of the CPLP.
