H.E. Manuel Pinto da Costa, Head of State of the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, met with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart at the People’s Palace of Malabo, during the visit to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
The courtesy audience served to strengthen the bilateral relations between the governments and peoples of Sao Tome and Principe and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, two friendly countries and neighbors that share a border, and are also members of the Community of speaking Countries Portuguesa (CPLP).
After the audience, the President, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo gave several gifts to his counterpart H.E. Pinto da Costa.
At approximately 9 p.m., the official delegation of Sao Tome and Principe was invited to a dinner hosted by the President of Equatorial Guinea in one of the rooms of the People’s Palace. The dinner was attended by some members of the Government, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, and advisors of the Presidency of the Republic.
