The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeón Oyono Esono, has closed the technical training seminar for sector focal points of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP).
The seminar in question was aimed at officials from various departments in the Central State Administration, in order to spread the Portuguese language in Equatorial Guinea, the establishment of a basic infrastructure for its general use throughout the country, the promotion of progressive transparency of knowledge for teaching and the action plan for the promotion of the Portuguese language and its advancement among public officials.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs affirmed that the training was an indispensable tool in order to achieve a deeper knowledge of the operation of CPLP institutions, and an important step towards the effective integration of Equatorial Guinea within the community.
“We are taking a step forward with the determination of the Ministry for Education to create the National Commission of the International Institute for the Portuguese Language in our country”, said Oyono Esono, in a speech given in Portuguese.
