Vice-President holds audience with French Ambassador

The Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, granted an audience to the Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador from France to Equatorial Guinea, Fred Constant, who spoke on Wednesday 24th July about matters of Defence and Security in our country. The meeting took place at the People’s Palace in Malabo.

This was the first meeting the two figures have had this year, and they covered military matters, among other questions of particular relevance.

We evaluated cooperation between France and Equatorial Guinea, reviewing various aspects, particularly the training that our team of military cooperators has been carrying out in Equatorial Guinea for two years”, said Fred Constant before the press, following the meeting.

We also spoke about the military equipping that Equatorial Guinea could entrust to France. The most important point was the opening of the Tica Naval School, which will take place on 28th July in Bata, in the presence of the Head of State, the Vice-President, and a French minister who could come for the occasion”, added the French ambassador.

Fir his part, Nguema Obiang Mangue congratulated the French diplomat on his work to further consolidate relations between the two countries.

It should be pointed out that, in addition to the military sector, the two countries also cooperate in Education, Culture, Construction and Transport, among others.
