The Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, representing the President of the Republic, who is currently visiting Sudan, led the Council of Ministers session on 20th November. The matters examined were various draft laws, decrees, and several international conventions.
This Tuesday the ministries of Culture, Tourism and Craft Promotion; Health and Social Welfare; National Security; Justice, Worship and Penitentiary Institutions; Interior and Local Corporations, and the ministerial departments for Subregional Integration; Human Rights, and the Secretary of State, Charged with Audits, presented their action plans and the levels of execution for their projects. The challenges facing these government bodies during 2018 were also presented before the council.
The meeting, overseen by H. E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, is a continuity of the series of meetings held by the Executive in Malabo days after the President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, gave a green light on decrees to create the Committee for the Restructuring of Public Bodies, Companies and Autonomous Bodies, and to rename the current Malabo Promenade the 12th October-50th Anniversary Promenade.
The Equatorial Guinea Government also examined the Membership Convention for the National Gendarmerie of Equatorial Guinea in the Organisation of African Gendarmeries (OGA).
Likewise they studied the agreements signed with Djibouti, Portugal and Russia, in addition to some international bodies.
