The Vice-President of the Republic, H. E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, received the accredited Ambassador from the Republic of Italy to Equatorial Guinea, with residence in Yaunde, Marco Romiti. The audience took place on 6th March.
The meeting, which took place at the People’s Palace in Malabo, served as an occasion for Nguema Obiang Mangue and the Italian diplomat to agree on various aspects of cooperation in various areas, such as culture and commerce, and to review aspects of the historical alliance between the two countries.
The diplomat, Marco Romiti, in his subsequent declarations to the press, praised the leaders of our country, and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in general, for the concession of pardons to two Italians who had been processed by Equatoguinean justice, for crimes committed within our national territory.
The meeting was attended by some members of the Government, led by members of National Defence and the Secretary of State from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Pedro Nguema Ndong.
