On 28th March, the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the People’s Republic of China were reviewed, in audiences that the Vice-President of the Republic, Charged with Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, granted to the extraordinary plenipotentiary ambassadors from China and Morocco, Chen Gouyou and Ghoulam Maichane, respectively.
The Vice-President of the Republic, assisted by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Salomon Nfa Ndong, expressed satisfaction regarding the first meeting held with the Moroccan diplomat. The diplomat from the Kingdom of Morocco, Ghoulam Maichane, declared before the press that his Government is willing to cooperate with Malabo in primary sectors, such as the training of human resources or the implementation of industrial fishing, without ruling out other sectors of common interest.
For his part, following the audience, the Asian diplomat also made a statement to the press, and declared that “we spoke of the various sectors for cooperation between the two countries, and the main issue was to recover common policy and raise economic cooperation to a higher level”.
