Vice-President receives chiefs from CATIC

On 23rd April, the Vice-President of the Republic, Charged with National Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, spoke to chiefs from the China National Corporation for Aeronautical Import and Export.

On his latest visit to China, Nguema Obiang Mangue and the entrepreneurs from the Asian giant agreed to meet in our country to discuss some proposals aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries in matters of Defence and Security.

The company CATIC wants to establish commercial relations with Equatorial Guinea. This information was given in the audience that Nguema Obiang Mangue granted to its chiefs at the People’s Palace in Malabo.

The matters covered in the audience, including the training of human resources and the possible signing of agreements in matters of security, were a continuation of conversations that Nguema Obiang Mangue held last year with the CATIC leaders.

The company, which has commercial relations in over 140 countries, is a supplier of helicopters and unmanned aircraft, among other products. The interest of the Chinese company is to participate in the strengthening of the relations between Equatorial Guinea and the Asian giant in matters of defence and security.

For his part, taking into account the matters that were debated on Monday at the Executive Council of the Ministries of Defence and Security, Nguema Obiang Mangue welcomed the Asian entrepreneurs and showed his willingness to discuss their proposals.
