Over one thousand troops from the various corps making up the national army formed a guard of honour to greet the Vice-president, whose visit comes within the framework of the action plan from ministries in his charge, corresponding to the 2019 period.
During his stay, the head of Defence and State Security Corps, in addition to being informed of the operation of this human resources training centre in military matters and the details entailed, also expressed concern regarding the condition of the barracks, the lack of an electrical generator to produce electricity in the event of a long power cut in the city, and the lack of leisure facilities.
It is the second time this year that the Vice-president of the Republic has held a meeting with the military in the city of Bata. The last meeting was on 5th February in the Nkuatoma conference hall, where the leader of the armed forces reported, among other things, on the implementation of a breathalyser test for civil and military drivers in service, which will soon be introduced.
