The Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, dedicated Friday 31st May to attending Insular Region navy training manoeuvres. The visit came within the programme of activities scheduled for Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue for the 2019 period.
On 31st may, the Vice-President of the Republic, Charged with National Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, witnessed military exercises by the navy at its headquarters in Malabo.
These were periodical exercises for the training of personnel and raising levels in carrying out operations, swimming techniques, rappel and training and boarding, consistent with the placement of troops and the operation in progress. Furthermore, in combat, rescue and the release of hostages on a vessel.
Since being appointed chief of the State security forces, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue has multiplied efforts to improve and strengthen the services of the ministries of Defence and National Security. In this context, the series of visits he has made to military bases this year come within his plan of action for the departments in his charge for the 2019 period.
The aim is, among other things, to train and upgrade the military for any eventuality.
