Visits by Prime Minister

Since Tuesday 23rd October, the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, has continued with his visits in the name of the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to various ministerial departments, which will culminate in the continental part of the country, where he will have a meeting with officials from the Government delegations of Rio Muni.

On Friday 26th , the Prime Minister went to the ministries of Transport, the Postal Service and Telecommunications, Civil Aviation, and finally, Mines, Energy and Hydrocarbons.

In his transmission to those present of senior instructions and advice, Obama Asue once again backed the posture of the Government in the fight against corruption, insisting on the duty to control and increase the current account income from the departments, which should also show respect for the hierarchy and public goods.

Respect for the working timetable, together with presence in posts, were some of the other points covered through specific examples; in addition to a reading of Decree 2467/1968, of 9th October 1968, through which Spain granted definitive independence to the territory of Equatorial Guinea, were some of the other key points of these meetings.

Furthermore, it is expected that on Monday 29th the visits will continue in Malabo, before reaching the Continental Region.
