On Friday 21st December, the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, made a series of visits to the Ministry for Finance, the Economy and Planning, together with its section at the General State Treasury.
The first stop for Obama Asue was at the building under construction that will house the headquarters of both the tax and customs services and all tax collection, focussing in one place all control over taxation income.
During the visit, the Prime Minister interviewed representatives of the company executing the work, in order to get to know first hand the factors that are delaying completion of the building, which has been under construction for over two years. Furthermore, the company, Hong Shu Lin Mangrove, related the delays in the work to the crisis, despite the fact that, as agreed by the two parties, the Government has already paid 65% of the total cost of the work.
However, Obama Asue expressed his discontent with the company, and stated that the maximum deadline for the delivery of the building would be for 2019.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister went to the General State Treasury to evaluate the work done by the department, where the Secretary of State, Milagrosa Obono Angue, led and provided details to the Prime Minister regarding the services visited on Friday 21st.
In the same context, Obono Angue, minutes after the visit, provided TVGE with details.
