The program of activities of these days in the French Cultural Center of Malabo begins with the Annobonese Cultural Week, to celebrate its patron saint’s day of San Antonio de Palé.
The activities began on Wednesday, June 10, with the presentation of the book “Los annoboneses, un pueblo africano original” [The Annobonese, an original African people], by Valerie Wulf, and continued on Thursday, June 11, at around 8 p.m. with a theatre work, “El Kikilibo”, performed by the company Amea. For Friday, June 12, around 8 p.m., different traditional dances of the island are planned.
Annobon’s week will end on Saturday, June 13, with a concert by Paloma Alfaro.
Other activities scheduled for the upcoming days consist of various artistic workshops and the commemoration of the Day of the Music, on June 21, in the Plaza de Ewaiso Ipola, starting at 4 p.m., in which will participate more than thirty musicians. This celebration has the support of the Equatorial Guinean Culture Center.
