On 12th and 13th November, the World Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry for Social Affairs and Gender Equality, and the Ideal Woman Organisation, held a training workshop on the impact of the Law on the Economic Empowerment of Women, at the meeting room at the Hotel Anda China, with the participation of various NGOs, associations, entrepreneurs and activists.
The workshop aimed to train organisations from civic society and facilitate the exchange of knowledge on the impact of the law, and how to increase understanding of how the legal and regulatory environment affects the economic opportunities of women.
The training session provided the participants with data, examples and information on the regional and global experience that can be used to act for the promotion of the rights of women, and policies which promote gender equality. The training session was an opportunity to exchange information and knowledge on the challenges and best practice in order to make progress.
