Work of Security Council continues following trip to West Africa.

After staying five days in Guinea Bissau and Ivory Coast, the United Nations Security Council, under the Presidency of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, continued with its work on 19th February, with a first session on the situation between Iraq and Kuwait, and a second on the situation in the Middle East.

The work was overseen by the Ambassador Permanent representative of Equatorial Guinea before the UN, Anatolio Ndong Mba, who was accompanied by various diplomats attached to the diplomatic mission.

During the visit to West Africa, the delegation from the highest decision-making body met in Bissau with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly, the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, and political parties, the national Electoral Commission and civic society; while in Ivory Coast, the Security Council met the Foreign Minister and the Vice-president, in addition to a round table with the participation of regional coordinators.
