The Vice-Minister for Public Works, Charged with Infrastructures, Enrique Ovono Ondo Bengono, has held a coordination meeting with members of the general directorate of the National Company for Property Development Building Promotion (EMPIGE) and banks operating in the country, which was attended by local authorities.
The meeting focussed on verification of the management and collection system for economic income generated by this social housing, built by the Government of the nations, for the comfort of citizens, in a personal initiative of the Head of State.
Before those present, the Vice-Minister Enrique Ovono read the text through which the President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, designated the inspection commission to look at the management of the social housing built throughout the nation.
In order for the commission to function correctly, he asked for the collaboration of those present through working as a team with transparency, honesty and responsibility, in order to achieve the aims outlined by the Government through the construction of this social housing.
The director general of EMPIGE, for his part, brought the president of the commission up to date regarding some of the points covered in the report on the management being carried out through the administration of social housing in our country.
Furthermore, on 4th August, Ovono Ondo visited the social housing located in the Nkoantoma community n Bata, accompanied by the EMPIGE authorities, where he saw some of the negative aspects, such as vacant properties and arbitrary accommodation in residences without offices which had been legally granted to official bodies.
