The Conference Hall in Sipopo organised, from 2nd to 4th June, the tenth Meeting of CPLP Ministers for Communication and ICT It is a biennial meeting, in which ministers cover issues relating to telecommunications and information and communication technologies for the benefit of member States.
The main theme of the meeting held in Malabo is the presentation of the proposal of the CPLP Digital Agenda, a strategic document defining a route map for the telecommunications and ICT sectors, and which will allow the promotion of the digital economy in all CPLP member States.
Within the proposal, the agenda intends to provide member States with the modern tools of new technologies, and address the need to create payment and access mechanisms for the financial system, in order to promote electronic commerce in the community.
Furthermore, in order to implement the Digital Agenda three main blocks have been defined; measures to be taken, strategies to adopt, and foundations for the development of the information society in all CPLP member States.
