XXI Ibero-American and Human Rights Summit in Republic of Peru

The Director General for Human Rights, Manuel Mba Nchama, has been at the XXI Ibero-American and Human Rights Summit in the Republic of Peru, in the city of Arequipa, since 22nd August, in representation of Equatorial Guinea, in an exchange of experiences on policies implemented in various countries aimed at the promotion, protection and respect for Human Rights.

Mba Nchama, in his speech, explained the situation regarding Human Rights in Equatorial Guinea, and highlighted the achievements and progress made, making special mention of 3rd August 1979, the date on which the reconstruction of Equatorial Guinea began thanks to H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, thorough the creation of institutions, laws, cooperation agreements and international treaties, among other mechanisms for the promotion of rights.

The Director General for Human Rights concluded his speech with the showing of a video on the true image of Equatorial Guinea within this context.
