H. E. Nguema Obiang Mangue is unwavering in his efforts to reduce the unemployment rate in Equatorial Guinea. This desire to create jobs for Equatoguineans led him to hold another joint meeting on Thursday with the Ministers for Mines, Public Administration, Work and those in charge of the country’s port administration.
During this working session at the Head of State’s Office, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons, reported to those present that a vessel belonging to the company Zafiro will soon be dismantled due to the deteriorated state of its structure which, according to specialists, places a limit on its working life.
According to the Minister for Mines, its dismantling could create a variety of jobs, but in order to access them, future recruits must first undergo training.
This project and other initiatives will be implemented through the job fair that the Ministry for Work is to hold following the elections on 20th November.
Furthermore, Nguema Obiang Mangue expressed interest in the recruitment process to be applied in the ports of Malabo and Bata, since, he said, those in charge of the port sector, Work and Public Administration, must work against the clock to announce as soon as possible the package of requirements, in addition to the nature of the posts offered by the Equatoguinean port administration, because the population is keen to fill these vacancies.
