Pakistan Extended Condolences On Loss Of Lives In Egypt’s Tragic Road Accident

ISLAMABAD– The government and people of Pakistan extended heartfelt condolences to the Egyptian government and people, on the loss of lives and injuries to many in a tragic road accident in southern Egypt, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said.

“We express our deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured,” the ministry said in a statement, yesterday.

At least 22 people were killed and 33 others injured, earlier in the day, in a bus-truck accident, 200 km away from Cairo, on the desert road of Minya Province in southern Egypt.

“A bus travelling to Cairo from the southern Province of Sohag, crashed into the back of a truck, parked on the side of the road to change its tyres,” Governor, Osama Al Qady, said.

“Pakistan stands in solidarity with the fraternal people and government of Egypt in this moment of grief,” said the foreign ministry.
