Evaluation of 2025 Target Contracts Reveals a 50.36% Execution Rate for Minister Adama Luc Sorgho


Ouagadougou: An execution rate of 50.36% has been observed for the target contracts of Minister Adama Luc Sorgho, as evaluated by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo. This evaluation was conducted as part of the regular monitoring of the target contracts assigned to ministers.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister of Infrastructure and Access to Land, Adama Luc Sorgho, presented the progress of his target contract, which included 77 activities, of which 44 had achieved significant progress by June 30, 2025. The overall execution rate for the contract during the first half of the year was recorded at 50.36%.



Key accomplishments highlighted by Minister Sorgho include the completion of several major infrastructure projects. These include the access road to the stele commemorating victims of the 2014 Air Alg©rie crash, the installation of toll booths on the RN4 in Boudtenga and in Titoulou on the RN1, as well as at the Bobo-Dioulasso exit. Additionally, 740 kilometers of rural tracks were constructed, 4,345 kilometers of roads and 833 kilometers of rural tracks were maintained, and over 35 kilometers of urban roads received maintenance. Furthermore, 25 kilometers of roadways were rehabilitated and reinforced.



Despite these achievements, the minister acknowledged ongoing challenges, particularly in securing financial resources for road maintenance. He stated, “Some companies have still not been paid since January due to a lack of funds available in the national budget. We are working with the Ministry of Finance to resolve this situation.”



With the onset of the rainy season, Minister Sorgho expressed vigilance in ensuring that traffic disruptions are minimized. For the remainder of the year, he outlined plans for several projects in road, rail, and highway sectors, in collaboration with donors. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing infrastructure and continuing the development and opening up of the country, despite existing constraints.
