Ouagadougou: At the end of a three-day session dedicated to assessing the mid-term progress of the ministers’ objective contracts for the first half of 2025, Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo summarized the outcomes and future prospects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this evaluation process serves as a standard steering mechanism where each minister, at the start of the year, signs a contract of objectives. These contracts encompass a series of priority actions in terms of reforms and concrete initiatives, all derived from the vision and directives of Comrade President, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.
Concluding the evaluations, the Prime Minister reported an overall average execution rate exceeding 54%, surpassing the initial target of 50%. He emphasized that the focus is not on numbers, but on assessing the real impact of actions on the daily lives of Burkinab¨ citizens, both in urban and rural areas. Despite the satisfactory results, the Prime Minister cautioned the ministers against complacency.
He urged continuous efforts towards diligent implementation of actions and reforms, stressing the importance of improving the pace where possible to meet the substantial expectations of citizens in all sectors. The Prime Minister reassured the public of the Government’s commitment to advancing and hastening the implementation of the President’s directives. He expressed a desire for the pace to pick up, ensuring that all Burkinab¨ citizens experience tangible improvements in their daily lives.
Finally, he announced that the final performance evaluation would be conducted at the end of the year, with the clear objective of exceeding performance expectations. It was noted that three ministers were unable to be evaluated during this session due to authorized missions abroad, and their evaluations will take place upon their return.
