JEPPC 2025: President Traore Calls for Integrity and Fight Against Corruption

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, issued a call to the people of Burkina Faso on Thursday, urging them to embody integrity and take responsibility in safeguarding public property while actively combating corruption and racketeering. This appeal was made during the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traore emphasized that public assets such as buildings, military equipment, state vehicles, and social facilities represent “the common wealth of the people.” He stated that any harm or misappropriation of these assets amounts to “betrayal of the Revolution.” The President urged citizens to maintain these assets, highlighting that the destruction of any public property results in diminished services for the people and those who embezzle state resources are deemed “enemies of the Fatherland.”

The President also lauded the patriotic efforts of citizens engaged in initiatives like the Patriotic Support Fund, popular shareholding, Faso Mebo, and Patriotic Immersion. He noted that these efforts demonstrate the collective desire of the Burkinabe to build a sovereign, just, and prosperous nation. Traore concluded his message by calling for Burkina Faso to become a land characterized by order, discipline, probity, and justice.

In an extended message, President Traore acknowledged the growing patriotic spirit among Burkinabe citizens, which he believes is crucial for nation-building. He commended citizens for their sacrifices and their commitment to initiatives that bolster the country’s standing on the global stage. He expressed gratitude towards the Patriotic Immersion conscripts and encouraged them to uphold and spread patriotic values among their peers.

President Traore reiterated that the Revolution should not require constant monitoring of citizens’ behavior. Instead, he urged individuals to rely on their patriotic conscience and maintain a disciplined and orderly approach to public property. He stressed the importance of fighting corruption and racketeering within public administration, which he described as the nation’s heart. He called for mobilization against these practices, emphasizing the need for effective regulatory commissions, administrative control bodies, and justice systems.

In his concluding remarks, President Traore encouraged citizens to exhibit exemplary behavior in all aspects of life, advocating for the creation of a society where integrity and justice prevail. He envisioned a future where Burkina Faso is recognized for its solid infrastructure, clean public services, and well-maintained public spaces. The President firmly believes that the country’s future generations deserve nothing less.
