Kourittenga Hosts Flag Raising to Launch National Days of Patriotic Commitment


Ouagadougou: The raising of the colors marking the official launch of the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation took place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the courtyard of the Kourittenga High Commission. This event is aimed at reinforcing the civic and patriotic spirit among Burkinabe citizens.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by constituted bodies, heads of services, customary and religious authorities, and members of the first cohort, as well as students from the town of Koupela, who gathered to demonstrate their commitment. The High Commissioner of Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, delivered a message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, highlighting civic values such as order and discipline, respect for public property, and the fight against corruption.



Moctar Ilboudo also reminded attendees of the current presidential initiatives, specifically popular shareholding and the “Faso Mebo” project, which aim to enhance citizen participation in national development. He expressed his appreciation for the various actors, groups, and individuals who support these initiatives.



He urged the entire population to maintain their patriotic commitment to address common challenges and contribute to building a prosperous Burkina Faso.
