Three armed individuals were apprehended by the Bonakama local Vigilante in Meme Division, Suth West region. The three suspects, amongst them; Valdez, a member of the special army unit called the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), were arrested on Tuesday night February 20, 2024, following frequents complaints from locals. The gang has recently carried out a series of gun attacks at a business center in Cow fence, Mokube Street, Alaska Street, and Ngansa Supermarket, sources confirmed to CNA. They equally stormed the neighborhood of Commissioner Njonje, harassing locals at gunpoint. The three are currently behind bars, after being beaten by locals. Source: Cameroon News Agency
