Nahouri Province Launches National Days of Patriotic Commitment with Focus on Tradition


Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, initiated the 2nd edition of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation in Po, Nahouri. The event encourages the promotion of traditional clothing and local culinary specialties.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch event on October 2, 2025, was attended by the vital forces of Nahouri province and the Defense and Security Forces of Po’s garrison. The day began with the solemn raising of the flag at the high commission of Nahouri, marking the start of this patriotic initiative.



The event featured the victory anthem in Kassim and the raising of the national colors, followed by a message from the President of Faso, delivered by High Commissioner Kam. The message urged Burkinabe citizens to contribute to building a sovereign and prosperous nation, emphasizing dignity, solidarity, probity, and patriotism as core national values.



High Commissioner Kam highlighted the importance of discipline and order during revolutionary times, calling for respect and preservation of communal assets. He warned against any damage or negligence toward these assets, labeling such actions as betrayals of the revolution.



Kam further stressed that the public administration serves as the nation’s heart, and any misconduct, such as abuse of position or misappropriation of resources, must be addressed decisively. He called for traditional clothing, like Faso dan fani or Koko donda, and local dishes to be embraced during this period.



The High Commissioner encouraged active participation in the various events organized for this edition, aiming to strengthen national unity and cultural heritage.
