The Commission confirmed the sighting of the moon at Bertona and Batouri, with the information being authenticated and relayed by His Majesty, Muhammadou Sonondi. In a communique made public on April 9, 2024, the Commission extended warm wishes to all Muslims across Cameroon. They expressed hope that Ramadan will be a time of spiritual growth, renewal, and communal solidarity. They went ahead to pray to Allah, the Most High, to accept their devout actions and to foster peace, national unity, and prosperity throughout the nation.
