Submerged Students Lead Parade to Launch School Year at Zabre High School

Boulgou: The 2025-2026 school year was officially launched on Wednesday at the Zabre departmental high school (LDZ), with a parade led by the commune’s immersed residents, at the invitation of the Zabre special delegation. The ceremony brought together local authorities, heads of decentralized services, teachers, civil servants, students, and parents. The president of the special delegation (PDS), Alain Boubie Bassano, wished success to the entire teaching staff and students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Bassano praised the commitment of the immersed students and explained the choice of the Zabre departmental high school: “On the one hand, to send wishes of success to all the students, and on the other hand, to welcome the immersed students trained at Tenkodogo.” The PDS wanted these immersion students to visit the department’s schools to inspire students to work harder to succeed in their turn.

Mr. Bassano also appealed to parents, reminding them that education should not be considered the sole
responsibility of teachers. He urged parents to become more involved in their children’s educational journey to ensure their academic success.

On behalf of the students, Ismaela Gambo emphasized order and discipline, values advocated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. He urged the students to make an effort to achieve good results. Her classmate, Maimouna Goulla, made a special appeal to exam candidates: “Respect order and discipline and get to work to experience the satisfaction of success.”

LDZ Principal Adama Dendani thanked the authorities for selecting his school for this launch. He recalled the past year’s performance: 100% success rate for the A-level baccalaureate and 84% for the D-level baccalaureate. He set a target of 100% success rate in all streams this year.
