The Court of Auditors (TC) delivered the Technical Opinion on General State Account (CGE) for 2021 to the National Assembly (AN) on Tuesday.
The document, which contains 98 recommendations, of which 59 are from the previous year, was delivered by the TC Interim Counselor Judge Domingas Alexandre Garcia to the National Assembly Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira.
The CGE Opinion contains recommendations for the institutions that receive money from the General Budget (OGE) to improve the technical and legal aspects, on preparation of accountability reports in the coming financial years.
Respect for the principles of good governance
The Parliament Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira, stated that the move allow “us to comply with a legal provision as part of the inspection of National Assembly.
The goal is to ensure the transparency and accountability of public affairs and
respect for the principles of good governance “.
