Boulgou: The Secretary General of Boulgou Province, Lalle Siaka Yao, representing the High Commissioner, laid the foundation stone for the fence of the Niaogho gendarmerie brigade on Saturday. In just two weeks, the citizens' initiative "A package of cement to build the fence of the Niaogho national gendarmerie" has raised 30 tons of cement, aggregates, and more than one million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at the request of a six-member committee, the population of Niaogho mobilized strongly to provide the brigade with a fence. The Secretary General of Boulgou Province, Lalle Siaka Yao, hailed this initiative as "a fine lesson in patriotism and civic responsibility" and assured the initiators of the state's continued support. He reiterated that this community project is part of the national security and local development policy.
The president of the Niaogho Special Delegation (PDS), Karim Sana, affirmed that "this fence is not just a stone barrier, but a symbol of patriotism, unity, and responsibility." For his part, Mahamady Compaore, a retired teacher and president of the initiative, urged the population to maintain their mobilization, as many challenges remain. The presence of Naaba Wobgho II, chief of Niaogho, gave a customary and spiritual dimension to the ceremony.
