Buea: Three siblings die after consuming noodles


Shock and conternation gripped the people of Buea on Sunday afternoon after the announcement of the death of the three siblings, between one and five years old.

News of their death was received with grief and biwilderment after family sources confirmed that the two boys and one girl ate Indomine, a popular noodles brand.

They prepared the Noodles taken from their own shop-becasue their father has a shop. The cooked it in the morning, two of them ate and went tot Church.

‘While in Church, they started complaining of stomach ache. upon reaching home, the third vcitim ate andn also started complaining of belly bite, that is how they were taken to Solidarity Clinic where they died,’ a witness who went to the clinic told CNA.

Their father, Stephen Mwambo is was devasted saif the children were all happy and jumping at their Full Gospel Church before they started complaining of stomach ache.

He also revealed that after the confirmation of their death, Police from Muea, visited his residence to begin investigat
ions.

It is not yet certain what killed the children as investigations are still onfolding.

Countries like Egypt have banned Indomie consumption while Kenya is considering doing them same.

In Nigeria, the ban was udner review before being cleared that people can continue to consume the instant Noodles.
