Sources in Bamali village, in Ndop, Ngoketunjia division have confirmed that the leader of the separatist group in the village, 'General' Colabo, whose real name CNA got as Tantoh Leonard was killed by his colleague on August 20, 2024. The fighters were sharing the money they collected from some parents they kidnapped, in early August in Bamali village. It is not clear what transpired, but it is alleged the deceased wanted to play over the intelligence of his colleagues by escaping with a huge sum of money. CNA learned he was later caught by his colleagues and executed. We gathered that his corpse was only discovered in a decomposing state by a farmer. Tantoh Leonard is reported to be one of the separatist leaders in Bamali who has executed several civilians including his brother.
