Guiriko: The RTB2/Guiriko courtyard now has a new look. This Wednesday, August 6, the Minister of Communication, Pingdwend© Gilbert Ou©draogo, received the new perimeter walls of the regional station, rebuilt after their collapse on June 9, 2024.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the work was carried out thanks to the economic operator Cheick B©ranger Ouattara, chairman and CEO of the African Society of Civil Engineering and Industry, who financed the work.
The previous wall had been partially destroyed by severe weather. Faced with this situation, Mr. Ouattara spontaneously decided to take charge of the reconstruction and to integrate improvements.
The new wall includes a sentry box with a slab, a shop selling RTB merchandise, an entrance gate, illuminated signs, and barbed wire to enhance security. The work was carried out under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Urban Planning.
“This gesture, accomplished without fanfare, with admirable discretion, symbolizes profound patriotism and exemplary solidarity,” said the Minister of Communication, who expressed the government’s gratitude and invited other actors to follow this example.
This infrastructure not only strengthens the security of the premises, but also offers a more attractive setting for workers, viewers, and listeners of RTB2/Guiriko.
This reception ceremony was also an opportunity for the authorities to hand over to the regional management of RTB Guiriko a batch of office equipment as well as vehicles, with the aim of strengthening its mobility and improving its working conditions.
