Ziniar©: The Oubritenga Green City Action Group organized the 2nd edition of its civic day to clean up the Ziniar© municipal cemetery, located in Laongo, on Saturday. This initiative, under the banner of civic duty and respect for the memory of the deceased, mobilized local authorities, civil society organizations, residents of the Ziniar© remand and correctional center, as well as the Assistant Security Volunteers (VADS) and the local population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the association, Moumouni Tapsoba, emphasized that this second edition is part of a civic approach, dedicated to activities such as sweeping, weeding, cleaning shrubs, unblocking graves, and planting trees. Tapsoba stated, "We are all called to rest one day in this cemetery. It is therefore our duty to clean it up to honor our deceased and allow them to rest in peace."
The first vice-president of the special delegation of Ziniar©, Yacouba Dialla, expressed support for the initiative and invited other organizations to draw inspiration from it. The first vice-president of the Oubritenga regional special delegation, Bibaba Compaor©, highlighted that the cleanliness of the cemetery is a shared responsibility, referring to it as "a common home."
A volunteer, Pascal Compaor©, remarked that the commitment to maintaining the cemetery's cleanliness reflects the respect owed to the deceased. He stressed the importance of honoring their memory with a dignified setting.
Through this initiative, the association aims to contribute to environmental preservation and the promotion of civic-mindedness and solidarity in the village of Naaba Tigr©.
