Boulgou: The Secretary General of the Boulgou province, Lall© Siaka Yao, installed Abdoulaye Soro as the new provincial director of Humanitarian Action during a ceremony held in Tenkodogo. The event marked the official handover from the outgoing director, Karim Diallo, to Soro, who previously served as a social education advisor.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Karim Diallo, who has been in office since April 2023, reflected on his tenure at the head of the directorate responsible for national solidarity. Diallo expressed gratitude to various authorities, defense and security forces, NGOs, and associations for their support. He acknowledged his efforts for the well-being of the target populations and apologized to anyone he might have offended during his time in office. Diallo encouraged his former colleagues to maintain professionalism and active solidarity to tackle ongoing challenges.
Abdoulaye Soro expressed his gratitude to God and thanked the Minister of Humanitarian Action, Commander P©lagie Kabr©/Kabor©, for placing trust in him. He highlighted the minister's view that humanitarianism is a mindset and a commitment to the common good. Soro acknowledged the humanitarian emergencies related to population displacement and committed to promoting social action based on transparency, equity, and respect for human dignity. He emphasized the importance of unity among colleagues and support from authorities and partners, stating, "One hand alone cannot pick up the flour."
Secretary General Lall© Siaka Yao congratulated Diallo on his leadership and urged Soro to build on the achievements. The ceremony, attended by authorities, partners, and active forces, emphasized recognition, solidarity, and unity to address the humanitarian challenges in Boulgou.
