Guiriko: A delegation from the Association of Sports Journalists of Burkina (AJSB), led by its president, Ibrahim Diallo, visited the head of the B´b´ Mandarª canton this Saturday, as part of preparations for the 32nd edition of the AJSB Super Cup. The sporting event is scheduled for September 14, 2025, at 3 p.m., at the Wobi Stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso. It will feature Rahimo FC, the reigning champion and winner of the Coupe du Faso, competing against the Union Sportive des Forces Arm©es (USFA), who secured the second position in the national championship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after the customary greetings, Mr. Diallo expressed his gratitude for the welcome extended to the delegation, before officially announcing the date and the competing teams. The canton chief, in response, thanked the AJSB for this approach and expressed hopes for the event to transpire in peace and security, with strong public participation.

During the meeting, the president of the AJSB presented the chief with a symbolic T-shirt. In a light-hearted moment, he humorously remarked, "A Fulani in a bobo village is coming to see my little slaves, and I was very well received because they are obliged to do so," which brought smiles to those present.

On the sidelines of this visit, the AJSB delegation met with several notable individuals, including the secretary general of the governorate, who represented the governor, the president of the special delegation of the municipality, local economic operators, as well as the regional football league.

Mr. Diallo concluded his mission to Bobo-Dioulasso with a positive outlook, already commending the anticipated public turnout for the success of the Super Cup on September 14.
