Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Infrastructure, Luc Adama Sorgho, visited the rehabilitation sites of National Road No. 4 (RN4) and the construction of the Northern Ring Road. This visit was part of the follow-up to the presidential initiative aimed at accelerating major structural works.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Luc Adama Sorgho was accompanied by a technical and administrative delegation. During the visit, he assessed the work progress and engaged in discussions with the mission heads, technicians, and companies responsible for the projects' execution.
On the RN4, which links Ouagadougou to Fada N'Gourma, officials highlighted satisfactory progress despite challenges posed by the rainy season. The mission and control team reassured that efforts are ongoing to adhere to timelines while maintaining road quality.
The minister appreciated the progress, noting a 61% completion rate with nearly 50% of the project timeline consumed. He emphasized that this project aligns with the Head of State's vision to enhance urban mobility and bolster the national economy through improved goods transport.
Mahamane Ou©draogo, head of the mission and control, stated, "We are in the finishing phase of the work; this involves laying the asphalt concrete surface, installing street lighting, and protecting the slopes and sidewalks below the wall."
The minister further remarked on their 82% progress rate, stressing the importance of installing culverts and coating. He urged companies to maintain standards and ensure safety for workers and users.
