Dori: The Secretary General of the Sahel region, Mr. Auguste Kinda, who also serves as the President of the Center for Direct Public Service Competitions, launched the 2025 civil service competition tests in Dori. The event took place on Friday, August 1, 2025, marking the beginning of the examination process in the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, for this session, the Sahel region has registered a total of 6,801 candidates. These individuals are vying for positions in 101 different competitive examinations. The regional director of the civil service, Mr. Nouhou, noted the continued strong interest among young people in securing positions within the civil service sector.
Despite the enthusiasm, some candidates faced challenges reaching Dori due to security or logistical issues. Mr. Nouhou acknowledged these difficulties and mentioned that affected candidates were given the opportunity to take the exam at centers nearer to their current locations.
The start of the exams was described as calm, with officials commending the organized and dedicated teams that ensured the smooth operation of the process. Security measures were heightened around the exam centers to ensure the safety and peace of mind of the candidates.
The Sahel region's authorities have reiterated their dedication to maintaining fair, transparent, and accessible examinations, even in a context of ongoing security concerns. The successful commencement of the exams is seen as a positive sign for the session, offering thousands of young people a pathway to a future in public administration.
