L©raba: The High Commissioner of the province of L©raba, Yacouba Sawadogo, inaugurated the 11th edition of the environmental holiday camp aimed at students in the province. The initiative encourages campers to actively engage in learning and become ambassadors for environmental preservation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this edition emphasizes awareness, education, and ecological commitment, aiming to cultivate responsible citizens dedicated to environmental conservation. The provincial directorate responsible for the Environment in L©raba, led by Ousmana Ou©draogo, orchestrated the camp to educate youth on environmental issues and equip them with fundamental knowledge for environmental protection and restoration.
The 2025 camp, launched in Sindou on August 6, will feature numerous activities throughout August. These activities are designed to provide learners with efficient environmental education through a program consisting of two hours of learning each working day.
Yacouba Sawadogo encouraged participants to engage diligently and seriously, enabling them to share their knowledge with parents and those unable to attend. He also expressed gratitude to the organizers and supervisors dedicated to imparting skills in environmental preservation to the next generation.
Ousmana Ou©draogo highlighted the importance of keeping students engaged with environmental protection during their holidays, noting the continuity of the program since its inception over a decade ago. The camp is set to conclude on August 31, 2025.
