Faso Mªbo Initiative Receives 17 Tons of Cement Donation from Institutional Presidents

Ouagadougou: Presidents of seven institutions in Burkina Faso donated 17 tons of cement this Thursday to support the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, which aims to improve the living environment of the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, among the donors, Dr. Paco S©r©m©, President of the National Academy of Arts and Letters of Burkina Faso (ANALBF), welcomed this initiative which, he noted, should have been launched long ago and from which no institution should remain on the sidelines. "This is why we have joined forces to make our modest contribution to this work which aims for the prosperity of our country," he said.

Dr. Paco S©r©m© emphasized the role that national institutions must play. As an advisory and monitoring body, the Academy intends to set an example by actively supporting development initiatives. "Seeing the Academy get involved can motivate other actors to do the same, going beyond personal considerations to focus on the national interest," he added.

The donor institutions include the Higher Council for Communication (CSC), the Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties (CIL), the Constitutional Council (CC), the National Coordination of AES Actions (CN-AES), the National Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters of Burkina Faso (ANSAL-BF), the Higher Authority for State Control and the Fight against Corruption (ASCE/LC), and the Higher Council of the Judiciary (CSM).
