Meeting between Ambassador to US and United States Trade Department

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the United States, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna A�ndeme, met members from the Trade Department from the American country, with the aim of diversifying the economy and attracting foreign investors, and strengthening relations between the two countries.

The meeting allowed an analysis of progress regarding the socio-economic development plan of our country with respect to Horizonte 2020, and the business opportunities provided by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea to the community of US businessmen.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and Africa, Skip Jones, the Director from the Legal Centre, Stephen Renna, and the Regional Administrator, Hallie Offen.

The Trade Department showed interest in supporting the Government, connecting the United States private sector to the trade opportunities provided by Equatorial Guinea.

During the meeting, the imperative need to provide the North American Trade Department with details of public tenders issued by the Government of Equatorial Guinea was stressed, with regards to the needs existing with in the framework of economic diversification under the Horizonte 2020 Plan, in order to be able to provide the necessary information and work with the US investment companies.
