Namentenga: Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Football Holiday Camp

Namentenga: The former provincial director of sports, youth, and employment of Namentenga, Ilboudo Moussa, presided over the solemn closing ceremony of the Football Holiday Camp on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The event was held under the patronage of the president of the football league of the Kuils© region, Ousmane Zamtako.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from June 23 to August 2, 2025, 121 children, aged between 4 and 16, participated in the summer camp. They were taught the fundamentals of football, including dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and technical skills. Beyond football training, the camp also emphasized the importance of respecting the highway code, showing respect to elders, and driving responsibly.

During the closing ceremony, the campers demonstrated the skills they acquired and performed the Ditany¨ in Moor©. The event saw contributions from several key figures, including Pogsada Hermann Kafando, the president of the organizing committee, Sylvain Zinaba, the parents' representative, and Pascal Ima, the sponsors' representative. They all praised the efforts of the organizers and the technical and financial partners for the successful execution of this year's camp. The campers were also commended for their grasp of the values imparted during the camp.

The parents' representative, Sylvain Zinaba, noted, "Our children have been usefully occupied, they have made friends and learned to live together. All of which, in my opinion, is to be welcomed."

Additionally, the president of the training center, Tinbnooma Harouna Ilboudo, took the opportunity to present his center to the attendees, highlighting the opportunities available to the children. Certificates of recognition were awarded to the 2025 holiday camp partners, and participants received certificates and school bags. The ceremony concluded with a photo opportunity.
